Soldering irons

We have some nice Weller WES51 temperature-controlled soldering irons. Unfortunately, one is broken at the moment (the one on the right hand side of the table).

When the iron reaches the right temperature, the LED above the temperature dial starts to flash.

Don't forget to turn the iron off when you're done!

 

We still use leaded solder in the iRoom. Lead is a carcinogen - don't breathe in the fumes (use the little suction fan on the table to filter the fumes), and wash your hands after handling solder.
